Title

10-second exposure shows 4 satellites around Comet Lemmon

About this image

A sign of the times, alas. This is a single 10-second exposure, which picked up 4 satellites around Comet Lemmon. The camera is a Pentax K70 in "Astrotracer" mode, meaning that during the exposure the sensor moves to track the stars whilst the camera remains still on a standard photographic tripod. This used an old second-hand 135 mm lens, set at its widest aperture of f/2.8, hence the obvious vignetting.
