About this image

I keep coming back to NGC891.

This is a magnitude 10.8 object circa 8.2Mpc distant. A spiral galaxy similar to the Milky Way but without a central bar.

Again I have used Astroart9 atlas to label all the faint galaxies in the field. Some (PGC 2196068 for example) are as faint as mag16.2. So my set up isnt doing too badly.

I processed this as an LRGB image but used i', r', g' filters (3x240sec subs each) instead with an 3 unfiltered stacked 240sec subs for the luminance.

Darks applied to each stacked group. I used a linear filter tool to get rid of lunar gradient. Got the hang of using these photometric filters instead of RGB now.
