About this image

This image captures M45 (the Pleiades), Uranus, and the asteroid 68 Leto all within the same frame, taken during a brief 30-minute break in the clouds.
Uranus was discovered in 1781 by astronomer William Herschel, becoming the first planet identified with a telescope.
68 Leto, a large main-belt asteroid, was discovered on April 29, 1861 by German astronomer Robert Luther and is named after Leto, mother of Apollo and Artemis in Greek mythology.
