About this image

This months Deep Sky Section target - the planetary nebula NGC 1501.

Quite a decent night on Orkney without too much wind, and clear dark skies (SQM 21.7)

NGC 1501 was pretty low in the west, but the Seestar made a reasonable fist of it with only 5 minutes exposure.
