433 Eros and M33 in a wide field (Dwarf 3)

About this image

I want to thank Nick James, Alan Dowdell and Alex Pratt for the heads up about Eros being in the same field as M33 last night. I had very fortuitously taken an image of M33 without realising that this conjunction was taking place. I had assumed that the short streak of light on my image was light from a plane or satellite and had been planning to remove it! I have now marked Eros in this wider field image. This is image is based on 54 minutes of integration on a Dwarf 3 smartscope. I have binned the image x2 and cropped it slightly to remove field rotation effects. First image was taken at 17:56 UT and the last at 19:05 UT. Midpoint 18:30 UT, approximately. Eros moves about 40 pixels in this period, which corresponds to 111 arc second (nearly 2 minutes of arc). This is roughly a speed of 1.6 arc seconds per minute.
