Title

Comet 88P/Howell continues to hug the morning horizon in twilight skies, magnitude calculations as it passed by the background Globular Cluster NGC 6401 on January 14 and 0.2 degrees north of the center of the Lagoon Nebula M8 on January 21 were V=14.5 and G=14.8 respectively. The Comet quickly washes out in morning twilight just after it rises above the Catalina Mountains. As observed from Tucson the comet will continue to hug the morning twilight horizon for the next few months as it reaches perihelion and its predicted brightest magnitude in March.
