C/2024 E1 (Wierzchos) tonight (2026 Feb 06.38 UT) from New Zealand. 35cm f10 Meade ACF SCT + ZWO-6200M CMOS. About 40 x 30 sec, 2x2 bin. N=up, E=left. FoV=~30'x20'. Lingering twilight. Low in SW (~22-degree altitude). I also did a visual observation, below... C/2024 E1 (Wierzchos) 2026 Feb 06.38 UT: m1 = 6.8, Dia.= 2.5', DC = 4, 41cm f4.5 Reflect (59x) John Drummond, (Gisborne, New Zealand) [Can quite easily see C/2025 R2 (SWAN) with the 41cm f5.2 reflector and 31mm eyepiece, but not with the naked eye. It's in Phoenix. The coma is slightly more condensed in the centre. 45' tail in PA 125*. Comparison stars used - TYC 8016 768 (mag 6.8 ) and TYC 8016 1177 (mag 6.3) - in-out method. 22° alt in the southwest. Astro twilight evident. Stellar LM = 4.5 near comet (naked eye), rural sky].
