A couple of months ago, I began my role as Observatory Director at the beautiful Omar A. Aggad Observatory at King’s Academy in Jordan, home to a PlaneWave 20" f/6.8 telescope (currently preparing an article for the BAA Journal). The observatory was facing a number of technical and operational challenges, and I devoted considerable time to resolving these issues and restoring full functionality. In addition, the local seeing conditions are often less than ideal, which becomes particularly noticeable at 3450 mm focal length.

Here’s first light with NGC 2903 (size 6’ x 3’).
