Leo II galaxy with Dwarf 3

About this image

The Deep Sky Section's object of interest for February. This seems to be an even harder object for the Dwarf than was Palomar 2. Leo II is just visible as a faint smudge of light in the centre of this image. All auto setting on the Dwarf and Stellar Studio. Binned x2, and gain increased in Photoshop slightly. Notice the galaxy to the right of the image. This is NGC3551 - an elliptical galaxy in Leo that is 150 Mpc from us (a tad further than Leo II which is 210 kpc).
