Title

The rapid brightening of Comet C/2026 A1 (MAPS) from approximately mag 17 to 12 is clearly visible in this montage of 4 evenings (Jan 30,Feb 20, 24 a 27). All images have been linear stretched by an identical amount to allow direct comparison. Scale is also identical (10' x 10' for each image) and the Telescope is identical (25cm f3.8 corrected Newtonian at site X07 in Chile). The UT dates and distance of the comet from the sun are shown on each pane
