About this image

The motion of the JWST over a period from 21:20:21UTC until 21:40:48UTC on the evening of 24th Feb.

During that time the spacecraft was always within 0.3 arc secs of the JPL Horizons predicted location. It had a median Gaia G magnitude of 17.4 +-0.15.

The image limiting mag is somewhere around 18.1.

It remains a pretty easy target for scope 8" or larger and smaller if using software like Tycho Tracker to stack the images.

Note: the pattern in the noise in the sky background arises from the gif compression and is not in the raw data.
