About this image

While imaging the asteroid Stroobantia (1124) in Leo I noticed three galaxies in the scene which made it rather attractive and led me to capture more images of Stroobantia than were really needed to help with light curve determination.

Arp291 is at the bottom right of the frame and directly above it near the top of the image is the trail of Stroobantia. I particularly like the curved galaxy at top. None are very big - scarcely an arc minute or so wide, but they do look nice.

Just to the right and up from Arp291 is a small galaxy believed to be in part to blame for the tidal disruption of Arp291. If you look slightly beyond it you can see a small slightly brighter patch so presumably it didn't get away with it unscathed.
