About this image

Seyferts Sextex of galaxies in the constellation of Serpens, with the 14th magnitude galaxy UGC 10127.

Image taken with the SeeStar S50 over 5 nights in May 2026.

The image was taken at the same time and location as my image of the same field with an 152mm F7.9 refractor. The S50 doesn't do a bad job, but as expected the larger refractor pulls out more detail and with less noise. However the star colours are rather nice in the S50.

Images stacked in Siril and processed in Pixinsight.
