About this image

Came across my failed attempt to image the Moon with my Trius 694 camera and a 12" Newt. I coudn't get the exposure low enough - system interrupts seemed to mess up all short exposures - and the Moon barely fitted on the chip.

This is a young crescent I caught a day or two after the eclipse in Mar 2025. I just liked the arc. Unfortunately nearly all the images that made it up were saturated. But as I said, I just liked the arc of the crescent. Don't look too closely - when you do its obvious a CMOS camera is a better choice for the Moon..
