About this image

I’ve just got my Juwei 17 mount, and I wanted to put it to the test.

I was getting 0.6–0.9 guiding consistently, so I thought I would image M57 using my 20-year-old Sky-Watcher 127mm Mak, equipped with my old D600 camera. I had a go last night while the Moon was up, with only half an hour of data.

It was nice sitting out in the heat, and I couldn’t sleep anyway. In the end, I managed to get the central star, and at f/11 with a focal length of 1500mm, I’m pretty happy with that.

I think I might try it out on some other targets.
