NGC 7538 Northern Lagoon Nebula

About this image

I came across the Northern Lagoon Nebula by chance, after wandering away from the Bubble Nebula in the direction of Cepheus. Although the nebula is 9.1KLY away, the two stars in front (TYC 4279-1349-1 and TYC 4279-1463-1) are only 2.9 KLY away. Shooting in broadband with a 90% moon is always a challenge, but the Northern Lagoon Nebula is bright enough to be clearly visible.
