Sun: Perihelion and Aphelion

About this image

Sun at Perihelion and Aphelion. Something I wanted to achieve for a long time, and I have finally done it. The Aphelion image in July is marginally smaller that the Perihelion in January, proving the earth has an elliptical orbit. The difference is not obvious, so measurements had to be made using a ruler.
