Nova Aquila 2026: Spectrum

About this image

Another spectrum of Nova Aquila 2026 but this time bin 2 x 2 rather than 3 x 3 in the previous version.  I'm still playing with the new camera to see what it can do...

Field of view 55 x 33 arc minutes with North and red to the right.

Worth comparing with this early spectrum, 2026rdg.pdf which identifies the Halpha and OI lines.  The much brighter emission line on the right is beyond 800nm...any ideas?

The same emission lines were seen in a spectrum of Nova Del 2013.

There is a lot going on in the IR. Here is a spectrum of that region by Christian Buil from the ARAS database but that is a few days old now and it will be evolving fast

There is a strong OI line at 8446A

Cheers
