About this image

Another early Friday morning with the best image coming in at around 04:47 EDT of Saturn.   There were 10 imaging runs that morning.

This is the best 10% of 10K frames of 18ms each.  Saturn's apparent diameter continues to grow, now at 18.1 arcseconds.   One month ago on June 24th it was 17.2 arc seconds.

Altitude was 46 degrees over the horizon and this time I remembered to do an RGB align with autostakkert, eliminating much of the atmospheric distortion (blue on top red on bottom) effect.

I notice more cloud bands in the southern hemisphere than the last imaging session.  Perhaps due to the seeing: average 5/10 and the transparency: average 5/10..
