With the recent parade of Planets in the evening sky I looked previous sightings of Mercury. Remembering the failure to capture the planet in transit I just idly looked up the Computer files. When I down loaded the images on the day of transit I could see nothing and assumed that my focus was to blame as the transit had been marred by thin clouds. I was using a Celestron C90 and getting focus on the camera screen was always tricky.

Today Just tweaking contrast and brightness Mercury sprang out of the images . This has made me a very happy 80 year old.
