About this image

Crater Moretus, 21.2 day old Moon. The complex central peak rises about 2100m above the crater floor (according to Quickmap), and the long shadow from this can be seen extending to the edge of the eastern crater floor. The whole crater is about 130km wide. I imaged this whilst setting up for the Falcon 9 lunar impact which was obscured an hour later due to cloud.
