About this image

Crater Clavius, 230km wide, as observed on a 21.2 day old Moon. The largest of the craters which form the arc of craters within Clavius is Rutherfurd, a 50km wide crater with ridge like projections from its northern rim extending north along the floor of Clavius and through Clavius D, the second largest of the craters in Clavius' arc. I imaged this whilst setting up for the Falcon 9 lunar impact which was obscured an hour later due to cloud.
