Nowadays we often see images of moving objects, such as comets, processed in two parts: (a) align on the stars (b) align on the comet , then followed by sticking the two together. This gives the illusion that the comet's motion was frozen by taking a single "short" exposure with a really, really huge telescope.

The same can apply to moving spacecraft and abandoned rocket stages. Here the view is recreated as if a large telescope recorded the rocket at 02:00:00UT on 4th August 2026. 540 times the area of my scope is nearly as good as the 5m Hale telescope on Mt Palomar!

I won't be making a habit of this!
