Title

Sh2-111 and PN EL1

About this image

Completed over 4 nights in July.

Rarely imaged emission of SH2-111 as it is very dim.

Also in this image is the planetary EL-1 discovered by amateur astronomer David Elmore in 2002. (The small diffuse circular blue nebulosity at  3 o'clock)

I have not yet been able to find out what is causing the structure to the top-right of the PN, which appears to possibly have an OIII shock front.
