Partial solar eclipse from NLO. My solarscope 70mm fitted with a flip mirror so alternating between imaging and showing phases of the eclipse to our visitors. It was mayhem! 700 visitors called in along with TV crews from BBC & ITV, but all enjoyed the event which was followed by David Heathfield offering tales of Orpheus Lyre in the Underworld & the Heavenly Eclipse from Japanese Shinto mythology. Then my bit on Mindful Astronomy and Perseid meteor watching.
