We stayed in an apartment in central Victoria-Gastiez as it was reasonably accessible from SW France where we are currently based, and not too busy. The weather was glorious but we were struggling to find a suitable spot with a view within walking distance of our accommodation. After pintxos in the evening we walked back to our apartment to find that the sun was perfectly aligned at 20.30 CEST the evening before the eclipse. So we set up shop on the pavement the next evening and had a wonderful view!
