About this image

This is a stack of 100 4K video frames taken from my video here. The video was shot using a Sony A7s iii in 10-bit, 4:2:2, S-log3 mode which provides the very high dynamic range required to record the inner and outer corona. The golden corona colour is a true representation of how the corona appeared to the naked eye with the Sun only 7 deg above the horizon. Celestial north is up in this image, the Sun's axis is rotated 15 deg clockwise with respect to this. Video obtained from La Revilla, Spain.
