About this image

As an experiment I wanted to see how much of the nebulosity surrounding the famous Iris Nebula I could image on my F2.8 scope.  I therefore selected the UV/IR filter which lets in all the visual wavelengths and maximises the light intensity on my monochrome camera. The result is a wide field shot of NGC7023 with the expanse of nebulosity shown in black and white. 

I also think that there is an asteroid in the bottom left of the image. Happy to be corrected by others though
