About this image

Having seen a myriad of versions of this lovely target I was keen to have a go at it. Despite often being described as faint and perhaps more suited to a faster scope I wanted to try with my refractor and mono setup to continue learning processing that data. I was able to just squeeze the target into the FOV. We were then fortunate to have a run of clear nights at the beginning of August which yielded 36 hours of SHO data plus some RGB for stars.

I tried processing a couple of different ways and this variant was done initially as HOO and then had the S signal blended in which made some nice changes in hue.
