Title

220P_McNaught_TandemRASA11s_asi6200mmP_asi6200mcP_77x300sec_20260916_041634_local_JuneLake_California_USA_DEBartlett 12th Magnitude Comet 220P/ McNaught Covers a Dust-Rich Starfield in Taurus Sept 16th 2026 ASTROBIN-Full Resolution, animations and other Goodies: https://app.astrobin.com/i/b2ok7u?r=0 Project Notes: 220P/ McNaught has faded to mag 11.9 and a tail extending more than 2.3 degrees. Nearly 6.4 hours of subs has enhanced the dust rich starfield, which is reddened the distant background galaxies in the constellation of Taurus. The comet is still holding a richness of greens and yellows especially around the elongated nuclear region. As usual, color calibration was performed with PixInsight's SpectrometricColorCalibration process using a white balance of the spectral class of our sun as reference.
