About this image

The moon was getting earlier and higher so moved to narrowband. I found this bipolar nebula, which I had totally forgotten about, using Telescopius to search for something suitable for the night. It is a bright object with a lot of dynamic range in the image, the core is a little overblown here to bring out the fainter wispy detail at either end of the poles. There will be a ring of material around the waist of the dumbbell but we don't see it as we are viewing it edge on.
