About this image

Comedy of Errors.

Normally, when theres a CME on the way in I look at Aurorawatch frequently, but we had visitors and so I forgot. By the time one of them mentioned getting an aurora alert on their phone it was seriously in decline and just dropping below 200nT and gone amber.  So I quickly set up and took some snaps and went back in. On the other hand one town dwelling visitor came out, admired the stars, saw a constellation or two, Saturn and the Milky-Way so hardly a waste.

Shame I forgot to focus and just had the Samyang lens set to just beyond infinity... Oops.

But it was just a very dim glow.
