About this image

This was an experiment to see what kind of detail I could obtain from my widefield F2.8 FL=420mm Newtonian. The idea was to take as much light as possible (4 hours exposure) using a monochrome UV/IR filter and apply 2x drizzle to the resulting image.  The chosen target being the Deer Lick group and Stephan's Quintet. I am pleased to see details in both NGC7331 and in Stephan's Quintet (e.g. the elongated arm of NGC7319)
