About this image

Two scopes are now mounted side by side on the old EQ6, testing the mounts loading capacity. The 115mm is paired with the Hypercam 26C and the 80mm with the Atik 490ex (mono). The field of view is approximately the same in this configuration, so that time can be saved in collecting data.

As usual, there had to be some problems and it seems that some rotation of the gear had taken place. Probably during a meridian flip. The has required more than normal cropping to save a loss of data.

Stacking was performed in Stacking Wizard and post-processing with Pixinsight and Affinity. The mono data was treated as the luminance to combine with the RGB. The stars are from the 26C data only.

Notice the small galaxies showing through the nebulosity.
