About this image

A very active stellar nursery with many Herbig-Haro objects.

I think this is a stunning object and I would really like to go deeper on the imaging to bring out more detail.

Excellent image Des and well done for devoting 5.5 hours exposure time to it. The fan shaped nebula towards the lower right of the image is on the Deep Sky section's list of variable nebula, so of particular interest to myself. The variability is caused by brightness changes to one of the two stars (HBC 340 & 341) that you can see at the bottom of the fan. Trouble is they haven't changed significantly in brightness over the last few years, but we keep checking.
