About this image

NGC225 is a young open cluster in the constellation of Cassiopeia.

The blue reflection nebula is associated with the Herbig Ae/Be Star V594 Cas,  a pre-main-sequence star glowing because of the gravitational energy from the condensing new star, before its core ignites in nuclear fusion.

The image was taken over two nights at the end of October 2026.

The subs stacked in Siril and processed in Pixinsight.
