By day, I am a software developer working at the Institute of Astronomy, Cambridge, on the transit discovery pipeline for the European Space Agency's PLATO mission (scheduled for a 2026 launch). I previously worked as a spectroscopist at Lund Observatory, developing rapid techniques for analysing the thousands of spectra that professional multi-object spectrographs such as WEAVE and 4MOST can produce in a single night.
Among my nocturnal projects, I run educational websites including https://in-the-sky.org and https://sciencedemos.org.uk . I wrote the software which the BAA uses to manage its online image galleries and archives, and also maintain the servers which run the BAA website.
