Aims & Objectives

The B.A.A. Lunar Section has sub-sections covering:

  • Occultations 
  • TLPs
  • Topography
  • Geology 
  • Photography
  • Computing

Each sub-section has a coordinator. The LUNAR SECTION CIRCULAR is published at approximately monthly intervals. This contains general news and the results of the work of the sub-sections.

A second publication called THE NEW MOON, mainly devoted to to topographical drawings, is published about twice a year.

If you are a member of the BAA, you can join the Lunar Section by contacting the Director, Bill Leatherbarrow, at 9 Stumperlowe Avenue, Sheffield S10 3QN, South Yorks. If you would like to receive e-mail copies of the Section CIRCULAR, please remember to include your e-mail address. If you would prefer to receive hard copies, please send 12 stamped, self-addressed envelopes (110mm x 220mm), which will ensure a year's supply
