Assistant Editor sought for the Journal
The BAA seeks a flexible, freelance Assistant Editor for the Journal, commencing in 2023 October. This is a newly created part-time position requiring up to 30 hours per month (from home), at a rate of £20 per hour (negotiable). The post will involve supporting the Editor in editing, proofreading and communicating with authors, deputising if necessary, and helping source/write new content as we extend our publication. The successful candidate will have good general knowledge of astronomy, astrophysics and the amateur astronomy community, excellent skills in proofreading and written English, and good IT familiarity. Experience in using InDesign/ Photoshop and/or similar professional publishing or graphics software is preferred.
