Royal Mail Deliveries – BAA Journal

We recently received some unwelcome news from the Post Office: their business model of streamlining the service and making it sustainable is to reduce the number of second class deliveries and lower their targets. From the end of July, second class letters will be delivered every other day and never on Saturday. Furthermore, the next-day delivery target for first class mail drops from 93% to 90% and the revised three day delivery target for second class moves from 98.5% to 95%. We use Royal Mail second class deliveries for the Journal, so its arrival on your doormat is bound to be affected, though by how much remains to be seen. Unless your copy is very late (a month) please do not contact the office, though we will continue to resend a Journal which is irretrievably missing in transit.
