Report no.8
Jupiter in 2024/25: Report no.8
John Rogers
While compiling the list of observers for 2024/25, I came across some very fine images that we had not included in reports but which deserve to be reposted for posterity. Here are two groups:
i) V-hi-res images that include the South Equatorial Disturbance, in 2024 Oct. & Nov.
ii) Views of impressive satellite groupings, including the clustering of all four Galilean moons around the planet on 2025 Feb.25. The animation of that event is by Mike Foulkes, showing Ganymede shadow transit, Europa transit, and Io occultation — a neat illustration of the coupled orbits of these three moons.
