A paper on A homogeneous analysis of archival and new low-resolution spectra of YZ Cancri, accepted for publication in Astronomy & Astrophysics, includes spectroscopy from the BAA spectroscopy database.

YZ Cnc is a dwarf nova of the ER Ursae Majoris (UGER)-type. These are frequently outbursting systems. The VSS is running a long-term campaign to detect outbursts of YZ Cnc and other UGER systems. The aim is to study variations in their supercycle lengths (the time between superoutbursts).

Campaign targets are ER UMa, IX Dra, RZ LMi, V1159 Ori, YZ Cnc, and DI UMa.

An update on IX Dra, by Stewart Bean, appears in the current VSS Circular.
