The Historical Section meeting for 2027 will take place on Saturday June 26th at the University of Lancashire, Preston.
The meeting takes place just before the centenary of mainland Britain’s last-but-one total solar eclipse, on June 29th 1927, and we will be commemorating the centenary of this event.
The day will also include a visit to the historic Jeremiah Horrocks Observatory, Moor Park, Preston, which was built to observe the 1927 eclipse.
