This week’s Wednesday webinar is a joint BAA and the Society for Popular Astronomy event with two speakers. Please note times are in British Summer Time and only approximate.
19:00 Jupiter at opposition – Dr John Rogers, Director of the BAA Jupiter Section
With the opposition of Jupiter happening the day before, Dr Rogers will talk on recent events on the planet and the Pro-Am collaberation with the NASA Juno mission.
19:45 Myths and Illusions – Greg Smye-Rumsby designer, illustrator and author at Astronomy Now, and specialist presenter at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich
All about things that have fooled us over the many years of astronomical discovery and understanding, from inhabitants of the Moon and Mars to why spiral galaxies are an illusion.
