Society for Popular Astronomy Meeting
Saturday 26th Oct 2024 2.00pm to 5.30pm
The Society for Popular Astronomy is holding a meeting on 26th October 2024, 14:00–17:00 (doors open 13:30). BAA members are welcome at SPA meetings under a reciprocal arrangement. Please refer to the SPA website for full details.
Please note that this meeting will be now held at Lecture Theatre 2 of the Cruciform Building.
Speakers
The main speaker will be Prof Lucie Green (UCL) on the subject of Seeing total solar eclipses from space.
Robin Scagell will give a brief talk about things to look for in the sky over the coming three months.
Mark Hardaker will talk about ‘Observational astronomy is not dead’.
