An ancient observation of T Coronae Borealis?

A B S T R A C T
The ‘new star’ observed by Hipparchus, as reported by Pliny the Elder, may have been T Coronae Borealis. Recent calculations of its periodicity are consistent with the likely dates of Hipparchus’ career in the third quarter of the second century BCE.
