The Birmingham and Midland Institute (website http://www.bmi.org.uk/) is conveniently located in central Birmingham, a ten-minute walk from both New Street and Snow Hill stations. It is the home of the Society for the History of Astronomy’s Sir Robert Stawell Ball library, which will be open on the day of the meeting. The SHA will also be holding a sale of surplus books.
The only parking at the BMI is on-street, for a maximum of 2 hours (no return for 1 hour). The nearest car park is at Paradise Circus, 5 minutes walk away.
