Conjunction of Venus and Saturn

About this image

A lucky brief break in the clouds allowed this capture at 12 deg. altitude. This event could only be imaged in a brief window of time when the pair were high enough above the horizon to get any sort of recognisable image of Saturn, but the sky had not yet brightened enough to make Saturn invisible.  So far as I know this was the only image captured of this event.

This is a great image; especially considering the brightness of Venus compared to Saturn. Great stuff.
