An off topic CBA-Chat post mentioned the odd behaviour of WZ Lyr, a Mira Cet type variable. "a mag higher than usual during outburst and at an apparent standstill"... Not usually what I chase but at an estimated mag 11(v) well within the ALPY range. Curiosity led me to take 10 x 180s spectra.

This was the result. Nothing I'd seen before but typical of delinquent M9 stars.
