"We are all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars" - Oscar Wilde.
My little 'gutter' consists of my wife, 5 children, 1 Honda motorbike, a Fender bass, an NUFC season ticket and an Astro observatory containing two mounts and several self-made spectroscopes.
I have a keen interest in Dwarf Novae and conduct CCD photometry on targets of opportunity as posted on the alert websites.
Having been awarded a BAA Ridley grant to assist in the purchase of a Shelyak ALPY600 spectroscope I now contribute to the BAA, BeSS and ARAS organisations. A more recent 3D printer purchase has allowed me to build various spectroscopes.
